Alan A. Reiter, president of Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing, has been a pioneer in developing wireless communications conferences, tutorials and workshops. He created the world's first cellular conference in 1983 and the world's first wireless data conference in 1989 (see left).
In 1995, Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing partnered with well-known wireless data consultant Andy Seybold to create Wireless Data University (WDU) to hold conferences the day before the CTIA's annual conferences. WDU was the first, non-CTIA pre-conference event approved by the association.
Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing views conference and workshop development as a way not only to educate corporations and the public but also to help jump-start and enhance specific segments of the wireless data business. Thousands of people around the world have attended conferences, workshops, tutorials and seminars created by Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing and its partners.

Private Corporate Events: Workshops/Strategy Sessions/Tutorials
Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing creates a wide variety of specialized corporate workshops, strategy sessions and tutorials for senior executives, middle managers and entry-level personnel. The workshops are confidential to each client and are presented in the United States and abroad.
Corporations generally prefer one- or two-day sessions with lectures and interactivity. For example, some corporations prefer a half day morning presentation followed by an afternoon strategy session or a day-long presentation followed by a second day devoted to an interactive strategy session.
Public Events: Conferences and Tutorials
In addition to its confidential corporate workshops and tutorials Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing develops workshops and tutorials for conference organizations around the world. These events are held before or after the conference or as a separate track within the main conference.
We can also help to develop a package of services and marketing campaigns that include press releases, weblogs and podcasts.
Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing has designed public
workshops and presentations for such organizations as IBC/Informa, IIR, Comdex, CTIA, PCIA, Canadian RCC Association, Marcus Evans, CMP, Future Image, Next Generation Ventures/Pulver.com, Wireless Data Forum and CommerceNet.
